Last seen listed at $20,500 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 1958 Cadillac Superior 3-Way Hearse is a rare Superior Landau Series 83 Funeral Coach with just under 50,000 miles. Powered by a 365 V-8 engine with automatic transmission, this hearse traces its origins through Georgia and Missouri before landing in Virginia. Factory black exterior paired with a gray and blue interior gives it a striking period-correct appearance.
The body shows 65 years of use with dings, scratches, and rust-through on the lower rear rockers, wheel wells, and both front doors. Front floor pans have had partial repairs but need further attention. The interior reflects decades of wear—original door panels and rear casket compartment show their age, the front seat is in rough condition, the headliner is sagging, and the rear casket floor has been replaced with plywood. The 3-way table is missing. Some flat glass windows (left front, left rear side, and right rear side) are cracked.
Despite the cosmetic imperfections, this Cadillac hearse starts, runs, drives, and stops well. The frame remains solid, and a new exact reproduction gas tank and sending unit have been installed. An incredibly rare and mostly complete Superior coach that still functions.
