According to the seller, fewer than 30 Pontiac hearses were built in 1966, making this 1966 Pontiac Bonneville Hearse by Superior Coach one of only 29. The car starts and runs great, its solid transmission backed by a 389 cu in V8 fitted with an electronic distributor and a large-base Quadrajet. A small-base Quadrajet or an air filter adapter is still needed so the stock air cleaner will fit.

The body requires work. Lower rust is present along with some older repairs, a floorboard is needed, and the typical rust at the frame turn-up in the rear requires grafted-in sections. All the glass is good, and the remaining mechanical flaw is minor — some wiring work, with the ground wires or bulb sockets likely corroded or dirty.
