1954 Packard Henney Jr. Ambulance

1954 Packard Henney Jr. Ambulance passenger side rear quarter view

Created when Packard teamed up with Henney to produce a more compact professional vehicle, this 1954 Packard Henney Jr. Ambulance rides on a 127-inch wheelbase that allowed it to fit into standard garages while providing full ambulance and hearse capabilities. Only 500 units were ever produced, with production costs exceeding the selling price—resulting in a $300 loss per vehicle. Henney and Packard raised the price from $3,333 to $4,333 mid-production, improving profitability but decreasing sales.
