1978 Buick Superior Crown Landau Hearse

1978 Buick Superior Hearse

With only 63 Superior Buick hearses built in 1978, this rare Precision Crown landau end loader from Pensacola, Florida is a low-production survivor. Originally from a Texas funeral home, the car has been garage-kept under the same owner since 2000. The factory-equipped 403 CID Oldsmobile engine runs well and the Buick drives smoothly with good brakes.

The body is rust-free except for minor corrosion on the driver’s front side pillar caused by a leaking windshield weather seal. Originally white, the repaint is described as good but not show quality. The top remains nice, while the cargo area carries typical bumps and bruises from loading and unloading. The A/C system functions but loses charge and needs attention, and the tires are old enough to warrant replacement. A cot hook (gurney lock) is included for first call service, along with factory optional wire wheel covers and extra fiberglass fender skirts. The sale also includes a factory service manual and owner’s manual.
