Hailed as the world’s most luxurious and expensive funeral vehicle, this 2012 Rolls-Royce Phantom B12 Hearse by Biemme Special Cars was unveiled at the Tan Expo funeral show in Bologna, Italy. Stretching a remarkable 23 feet—three feet longer than the Phantom’s extended wheelbase—the B12 retains the four-door design with rear-opening “suicide” doors and is powered by a 6.75-liter V12 engine with self-leveling air suspension. Constructed entirely from aluminum with over 600 meticulously assembled parts and nearly 650 feet of aluminum welding, the custom-built chassis rides on the Phantom frame.
The raised rooflines and elongated greenhouse accommodate funeral needs while maintaining the Phantom’s signature presence. Inside, polished metal air vents, leather upholstery, and wood detailing blend seamlessly throughout the cabin. The coffin compartment features leather and composite materials with LED illumination, and the cockpit includes an Infotainment system on a large central touchscreen. Priced at over 500,000 Euros (approximately $662,000), the B12 stands as a testament to Biemme’s craftsmanship, merging luxury with functionality in a vehicle acknowledged by international press as the most luxurious hearse in the world.
